SUS Clients and GPO problem

hi,
I have been struggling with SUS with AD for a week now.
I have Installed SUS Server which is working just fine. Downloaded 347
updates (service packs and patches). I followed the sus deployment
guide for configuring the GPO for the OU of interest.
Configure Automatic Updates(Enabled)
Specify intranet Microsoft update service location(Enabled)
SUS Server http://10.X.X.X
SUS Statistics Server http://10.X.X.X
Reschedule Automatic Updates scheduled installations(Enabled)
No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Updates installations(Enabled)
To the best of my understanding that should suffice and after a user of
that particular OU logs on to a workstation I should see the updated
registry with the following keys
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\windows\WindowsUpdate]
"UseWUServer"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\windows\WindowsUpdate\AU]
"WUServer"="http://10.X.X.X"
"WUStatusServer"="http://10.X.X.X"
buts thats not happening the registry is not being updated.. what am I
missing??
I tried windows update by manually updating the registry and its works
like a charm. So Registry entries are correct and the clients are
working fine. Whats the point of AD if I have to manually update the
registry of 900+ PCs by hand.
Client I tried so far are Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional,
Windows 2003 Server Standard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Shahid Mamji
