HotFix KB842773 uninstall?

I can't even get Update to open the site for downloads. It's like I'm blocked
out of Windowsupdate.com. Yes, I'm registered. 5 days ago did a clean format
and reinstall of XP Pro. Did a update right off the bat and got the HotFix
above loaded, then noticed that future updates would not download. Tried to
uninstall the HotFix and I get a Warning that about 25 programs may not work
correctly if I go ahead with the uninstall of KB842773.
