Oh, I didn't know that about A/V behavior. Thanks. The virus is one of
those April 2005 pop-up trojans. Downloader 32 or something like that. It
would be detected and cleaned, but it would keep recreating itself. After
running a virus scann is Safe Mode, the system lost Internet access via
Internet Explorer. The network connections is enabled and active, and the
cable provider states all is well. I will run a ping and nslookup to see if
the problem is isolated to I.E.
