893066 kills more than FTP! Seems to Effect Outbound Web Access.

I am on a Win2k3 Enterprise Server with Active Directory, DHCP & DNS.
I use Trend Micro's Client Server Suite (not SMB), and have already checked
with Trend for a patch.. the one for SMB does not apply.
I do not use Exchange, and my Email client is Outlook 2003.
Connected to a Linksys WRT51AB Router/Firewall, used as a gateway to the
net. No NAT, outbound filters or anything funcky like that... just pretty
much stock setup.
When I apply the 893066 patch, outbound SMTP outgoing mail no longer works,
and I cannot browse to webpages that are not cached.
None of my Client machines can get out either.
I see on XP Pro, the patch can be removed from the Add/Remove, but on 2003
Server it is not listed.
I checked the previous articles about the netowrk slow down, and tried the
registry key that was suggested, however, again the detail on what value it
needs to be is too vague.
I ended up having to run Windows Setup/Repair to get me back to work, but I
was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this problem.
I did a search of the NewsGroups, but so far have not seen much on the
subject, let alone a resolution.
I first did the Service Pack 1 for Win2k3, but some of my programs that I
use for day to day work would no longer run, so I had to remove it.
Any Ideas would be appreciated so I can stay up to date on the security
patches.
Thanks,
Gary Bouchard
