Listen very carefully - I will say this only once.......
You will NOT be forced to install SP2 if you don't want to - There never
have been plans for any such action, and there never will be.
If YOU choose to install it - or your system admin makes the choice for
you - then you will get it -otherwise you will not have SP2 installed -
ever!
If YOU choose not to use IE for anything, then you can still download the
SP2 update using whatever browser you want, simply by using a download
manager and going to the download center and getting the full 272MB download
from there.
http://www.flashgot.net/whats
Is a FireFox extension that allows many download managers to work properly
FWIW, I had no problems ordering the CD using FireFox - on default
settings - except for a couple of pop-ups asking me to verify microsoft.com
subsites as trusted for the session
I suggest that you rein in on the BS and stick to the facts - thye'll serve
both you and everyone better!.
