"Warm1",
I am sorry that you are running into this issue. The reason you are seeing 0 KB
on the Windows Update website for the KB835732 is that you have already
downloaded it, and the Background Intelligent Transfer Service already knows
that. It has an event cache that retains that information. That part of the
scenario is not a malfunction.
The problem is that it keeps telling you that you need to install it, but did it
ever correctly install? Or did it just tell you that the download portion of it
was successful?
Please try to install it again from Windows Update, and note the time you made
the attempt. After the attempt is made, reply to this posting with the results
from the following steps:
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type or copy the following: notepad %windir%\WindowsUpdate.log <Enter>
4. When the log opens, scroll down to the first entry that matches the time
(hour and minute) that you noted from when you made the attempt.
5. At the very beginning of that line, place the cursor and then press
<Ctrl>+<Shift>+<End> This will highlight everything from the cursor position to
the end of the log.
6. Press <Ctrl>+<C> to copy the highlighted text
7. Reply to this posting
8. Write down what happened, then press <Ctrl>+<V> to paste the copied portion
of the log.
9. Send the reply
We'll take a look!
Sincerely,
Pat Walters [MSFT]
