For what it's worth, I tried restoring my computer to a pre-update
configuration (February 7) to see if it made any difference in the way
VirusScan runs. It didn't seem to. The CPU usage fluctuated but was still
around 90%. Does this rule out cause and effect between high CPU usage and
the latest Microsoft updates?
