Ok, Torgeir,
(BTW Have you checked out SluggyFreelance? Anyone call you Torg? Hit 'em!)
I have tried all of your 'solutions' listed in numerous posts here.
I am running four systems networked through a router, which also serves as
my broadband connection. The failures happen through the router or directly
connected. I primarily use Norton AntiVirus, but one machine has MacAfee's.
All are using the windows firewall, all have SP2 (or we wouldn't be having
this discussion....)
All have the changes to the Internet options security settings, all have
clean host files, I have deleted ....\SoftwareDistribution\ on two of them,
to no avail. The proxycfg settings are correct (direct).
All get the 80072EFD error, every time.
So, you got anything new? All of the stuff currently posted don't work so
hot....
