hey robbo66. good morning.
well, i fixed it and this is all i did.
as i mentioned i had my autoupdate setting on "download, but let me install".
i changed the settings to "automatic", the "recommended" setting. that is,
all critical updates are downloaded AND installed automatically.
then i did the fix everything move.....i shut my computer down and waited
till this morning to turn it back on. an overnight reboot! lol.
in any case, when i signed on this morning, my update was installed, and the
notification did not pop up again. i went to windowsupdate, the webpage, and
checked my update history, and it shows a successful install.
i hope this works for you my freind.
