"D",
Were you able to resolve this issue? Assuming you were
not, here are two sets of procedures to try. Please note
that when you see the <Enter> it means you are to press
the Enter key, not type the arrows and letters:
I. Registering all dll's
1. Open a command window
a. Click Start
b. Click Run
c. type cmd
d. Click OK
2. In the command window:
a. Go to the root of the system drive by typing: cd %
systemdrive% <Enter>
b. Input the following command: for /R %windir%
\system32 %x IN (*.dll) DO Regsvr32 /s %x <Enter>
(This last command will wrap in the newsgroup, so be sure
to put the spaces where they belong.)
II. Check that the services are working
1. Open services
a. Click Start
b. Click Run
c. type services.msc
d. Click OK
2. Look through services and make sure that these are
Started:
a. Background Intelligent Transfer Service
b. Automatic Updates
Please post back to this thread and let us know how this
goes.
Sincerely,
Pat Walters [MSFT]
