You may have a ActiveX problem. Have you tried downloading/Logging on any
website that relies on activeX controls(i.e- on-line antivirus checks
www.pandasoftware or bank acct's online) If you do this and have the same
results(can't log on) then you need to change your ActiveX control to enable(
XP SP2 disables ActiveX automatically. This will leave you vunerable to
viruses but if you have an antivirus software then you should be fine. If you
don't have AV then try adding "http://windowsupdatemicrosoft.com";
"http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com";"http://download.windowsupdate.com"
to your Trusted Sites in Internet Options.
