Windows update failed

I have checked on my previous updates in the View Installation History link
and noticed that some updates are marked Failed in the Status section. I was
wondering if I can delete these certain ones because their is quite a few.

**See what I mean. What went wrong?? Also, I would like to know how often
is an update needed? I feel I just did an update about two months ago.
