Hi,
WindowsUpdate.log and bitsadmin output shows that WU is using cache:8080 as
the proxy server and that is failing
2004-09-20 20:19:49-0400 896 4fc SendRequest failed with hr = 80072ee7.
Proxy List used: <cache:8080> Bypass List used : <(null)>

Can you please send me via email (remove online in the email address to get
my correct email address)
* Open a command prompt and run the command
ping wpad
send me the output from the above command
* If the above command is successful, (resolves to an IP address), please
see if you can access
http://wpad/wpad.dat
* Please check your IE proxy settings and verify that cache:8080 is not
specified in any proxy settings
* Please describe your internet connection cofiguration. Are you behind a
modem/DSL/Cable or inside a corporation?
