Hi John

Thanks for the info. I have manually de-installed all Microsoft updates,
including Q867801, with no benefit. So, my next step will be to install SP2
then try WU5. Then, I'll de-install SP2 and apply updates one at a time until
I find the problem.

Well, that's the theory. I'll let you know how I go.

On the machine I've used for this test, I also have the 0x8DDD0007 error
which pops up before the review updates screen. This complicates things a
bit. I'm going to try to fix this one before proceeding.

I'm based in Chelmsford.
