All updates fail

I had problems with the BITS 2.0 and followed The advice to first download
and then install it locally. It did the trick, but then I found out that all
my updates from 26 june have failed... When I try do run Windows update it
downloads fine, but when the installation starts i get the message that it
fails... Bummer.. Any ideas ?
