Hi,
I have worked with a customer who had the same error code that you are
having (KB842773 install fails with d0000006 error).
After some email exchanges, we found that the problem is due to some
problems with his hard-disk because of which some important files were in
bad blocks. He was able to solve the problem by running the "chkdsk /r"
command in a command prompt (open command prompt by typing "cmd" in
start->Run) which corrected the problems on the files on his machine.
Please try the above solution and see if that solves the problem. Please let
us know what you found.
