Hi. I am a Security MVP from Japan. Let me help you, if you do
not mind.
| Any idea when the new version of WindowsUpdate will start respecting the
| language preferences of Microsoft's own IE browser? The current situation
| with SP2 is sufficiently problematic that I'd like to know EXACTLY what it's
| saying before I do anything rash, such as install the upgrade that is
| supposed to fix many of Microsoft's security flaws.
If you are still stuck with this matter, just have a try at:
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/default.aspx?ln=en-us
Apparently the language code after "ln=" is the key, from other
posts in microsoft.public.jp.windowsxp, a newsgroup for Japanese
users of Windows XP.
Let us know what happens. ;-)
Regards,
Kenji Yamamoto [MVP]
