Re: Update fails [Error number: 0x800A0046]

When I use ComputerManage-->Services, or just "sc", I get error #5 and text
that says I don't have privileges to use the wuauserv service. But I'm in
the Administrators group and can do anything else I want to on the machine.

BTW, windows update v4 works just fine. Unfortunately it's no longer my
default update site, so I have to manually access it. Any way I can simply
uninstall v5? Is the fact that v4 works a clue?

I'm sure there's a registry entry somewhere that disallows access. But I
just can't find it...
