I am having a problem getting the Security Update for DirectX 9.0 (KB839643)
to install on my computer running Windows XP. I've got Automatic Update
configured to install updates automatically and while reviewing my Update Log
tonight I noticed that this particular update has failed to install on 9
seperate occasions dating back to June 10th. Every other update in the log
(almost 150) has installed successfully dating back to 2001. Tonight I even
tried shutting off my firewall, antivirus software & pop-up blocker first
before allowing Automatic Updates to attempt the install. The Error Code I
receive each time is FF17. Can anyone offer assistance? Thank you!
