Each browser must be installed on the computer.
Each browser opens independently of the other. You can have
Internet Explorer, Netscape and Mozilla and have all three
or any combination open at the same time.
If you want to attach a file to an email you are sending
using web mail such as Hotmail or Yahoo, you use the attach
file commands in the mail application.
If you are using a mail application, such as Outlook Express
or Mozilla, you use their features to select and attach a
file.
To open an attachment that is sent to you by email you
normally just double-click the attachment and it opens, but
for security reason, Outlook Express blocks opening an
attachment because attachments are the primary method of
sending viruses. If your question is, How do you over-ride
this security? To open attachments using Outlook Express,
click Tools/Options/security tab and uncheck the 4th box.
Be careful and sure about the content and source of the
attachment because you are more likely to get an infection.
You can set any browser or mail program as the default, but
you can select to use any program without changing the
default program.
