Hi, My XP Home Edition had the same symptoms until I came across something I was reading on MIE's web site,I dont remember exactly in what article though it was the soulution for getting those certain up-dates to install.Go to your control panel and open add & remove programs,then to add new programs and click on Windows Update . Also,you need to be on line first. It worked for me , although Im not 100% sure that it will for you, I hope it does.
