I reinstalled Windows XP Home edition SP1 (wiped the
hard drive, installed from CD) and was trying to bring
it up to date with the Windows Update site. The
updates download, and the web site says they are
installed, but most of the the updates disappear
when I restart the computer.

Theon ones I haven't been able to install are:
KB823182 KB824105
KB824141 KB825119
KB826939 KB828026
KB828035 KB835732

When I try to restart having installed these
last 8 updates, I get a message saying that
file Alnlnepe.exe won't terminate. I get this
message only after having used the Windows Update
site.

Does anyone have an idea of what is going on?
