Right, as I said before, I am unwilling to
reformat/reinstal Windows XP on my computer, as I only
have one HDD, and several gigabytes of important files
that I cannot back up due to sheer size, I had an idea
however, when the v5 windows update sysetem is released to
the public, will I be able to run it properly? Or am I SOL
and will just have to bite the bullet and reformat? I
thank JMax for his help with pointing out the URL for v4
(It had totally slipped my mind) If there is *anything*
short of reformatting I can do (crawling through the
registry, unpacking .cabs from my winxp CD, *anything*)
I'm quite willing to do this, I am not a novice computer
user and I am not afraid with tinkering with the
underpinnings of my operating system.
