I am not misleading people.
The number of posts on this particular update are very small compared
to others so what is conclusive to you is really inconclusive..
To be relevant, you would have to compare others with the same issue
as you, 2 that I have seen.
Other issues are unrelated.
Check for missing and damaged system files:
Start/Run
Type "sfcscannow" ENTER
Follow prompts with your Windows XP CD available.
Or perform a Repair Installation:
