These 2 error codes will occur when there is spy|ad|malware
installed on the operating system. This will affect Internet
Explorer as it can not make a secure or complete connection with the
Windows Update site.

There are sites on the internet that will do a brief scan to attempt
to identify if these parasites are present. This is just the FIRST step:

(checks for installed updates, also)

The purveyors of these parasites will, from time to time, attack the
above sites using a DDoS. These deviants have only one thing in mind
making money by hijacking innocent users browsers to websites that
pay them to do so.

FIGHT BACK ... educate yourself. NEVER click Yes to installing
something from a website unless you now FOR SURE that it is safe.
Antivirus software is mostly useless against this scumware.

**** THIS IS AN EPIDEMIC **** of major proportions.

Download these fine spyware removal/prevention programs :

AdAware

Spybot

Spyware Blaster

CWShredder
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.php#cws
or
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe

There are other sites that mirror the above ones due to the DDoS
attacks. Use Google to find them. The above programs have free
versions ... support the good guys by either making a small donation
or by buying one of the paid versions.

Write your Congressman/woman, write your Senators, heck, even write
President Vladimir Putin since so much of this malware originates in
Russia.

Be aware, be forewarned ... keep Internet Explorer healthy and you
will greatly increase your ability to successfully do Windows Updates.
