updates on new installs sucks

everytime i install xp on a new computer i receive the error "Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display Ehe requested page. Network problems are preventing connection to the Windows Update servers. Please try again later.

If you continue to see this error, contact your network administrator."

This is unacceptable behavior from Microsoft. In order to update my systrems I have to update IE with the latest patches first, then I can get the rest of the updates.

Come on Microsoft, you can do better than that...or can you?
