Sandy,

Is KB832894 listed in Add/Remove Programs as being installed ?
Do the files on your system match the files of the updates ?
(NOTE: KB828026 is NOT listed in Add/Remove Programs on a ME system.
There is NO uninstall feature. Compare the files on your system with
the files of the patch)

To check the files of update KB832894 go here :
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS04-004.mspx

Unfortunately, MS has chosen NOT to include Win 98 and ME in the
IE 6 SP1 nor IE 6 listing, but the files shown on the page should be
the same as the files on your ME system.
They will be in the WINDOWS\System folder. To view them you will
have to enable the " Show hidden files and folders " option in
Folder Options, View. Also, uncheck the " Hide protected operating
system files (restart required)." This can be located in the Control
Panel.
When you find the files on your system right click them, choose
Properties, click the Version tab to confirm that they are the
correct version.

For KB828026 :
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828026
Check the files of the version of WMP installed on your system.

If you find that KB832894 is not listed in Add/Remove Programs
and/or the files do NOT match for either update, advise you to
manually download the updates , boot to Safe Mode, and install them
from there :
