Windows Update Refuses to download updates

Okay, my dad's computer's been infected by the Sasser worm. Unfortunately, when I try to get his Windows Update working, it says there's a new version and I click "Update Now". then it does it again. and again. It's on an infinite loop, and I cannot download the critical updates for his machine.

Even if I try to download the update manually, it crashes.

Does anyone know how to fix this "Infinite Update Now Loop" bug? Or at least find a workaround?
