What tool or method did you use to clean the system? Have
you tried the STINGER tool from McAfee? It will clean and
repair about 41 of the current viruses and worms including
Sasser, Blaster and the others.
Have you looked at device manager to see what is shown on
your NIC? Do you have a firewall such as Zone Alarm, it may
need to be reconfigured for your current and proper Internet
connections IF it had detected and blocked )as it should)
the infection. You might try creating a new
connection/account in case the current account has been
corrupted.
You might want to check the microsoft.public.security.virus

I have cleaned that off, but at the same time it is now unable to connect to the network. It is sending out requests, but is not recieving anything. The line is good. Is this a side effect of Sasser, the effect of another virus, or just an network card gone bad at the same time as an infection? any advice would be a help.
