I can no longer use Windows Update -- 0800C0008. I followed Toomba's suggestion:

https://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

I get "security alert the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site."

View certificate: issued to a248.e.akamai.net

Anyway ... click OK, proceed, no problems. Surely this is significant.
