This has been happening to hundreds of people - look at the posts for the last week or so. After getting no help from Microsoft, I uninstalled KB835732, and changed my settings to "Never download blah blah blah.." I'm still getting the message that I need to install it, but at least it's not constantly downloading.

I have an HP Pavilion 503n with Windows XP (Home Edition). For the past
several days I have been getting an automatic download of Security Update
KB835732. After it is downloaded, I am asked to install it--which I do. It
then says that the update has been successfully installed. The only problem
is that the next day the same thing happens again--and so on for the day
after that and the day after that...
