I am repeatedly receiving this update message from
Microsoft:
Microsoft Consumer
This is the latest version of security update, the "March
2004, Cumulative Patch" update which eliminates all known
security vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet Explorer,
MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express as well as three new
vulnerabilities. Install now to maintain the security of
your computer from these vulnerabilities, the most
serious of which could allow an attacker to run code on
your computer. This update includes the functionality of
all previously released patches.
Should I be installing this?
When I try to download the update I only get so far and
the screen goes blank. I have tried it several times and
I always end up with the same problem. It appears as if
it is going to download the update and the process begins
correctly; however, I only get so far and then nothing
happens. I end up with a blank screen with a little
insignia at the top.
