John,
Here's the solution
This is provided by MowGreen, MVP
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall it from
there. Download it using the instructions from here and save it to your
Hard Drive :
HOW TO: Download Windows Updates and Drivers from the Windows Update
Catalog
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;323166
Reboot to Safe Mode and install it from there :
How to Start a Windows 98-Based Computer in Safe Mode
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=180902
After it installs and the system restarts, compare the files on your
system with the files of the patch to see if it installed successfully :
Patch files are --
27-Jun-2003 02:19 2003.1100.5426 311,864 Html32.cnv
27-Jun-2003 02:19 2003.1100.5426 116,288 Msconv97.dll
