I have tried many times to upgrade to XP on my Me machine.
I have gotten as far as I can, fixing little problems
along the way. I have ran into one now that I cannot find
an answer to. I get the following message after several
steps have been completed in the upgrade process:

SXS:DLL: Syntax error in manifest or policy
file "C\$WIN_NT$~LS\1386\asms\60100
\MSFT\Windows\common\controls.man" on line 5

Data is invalid

Please help if you can!
Much appreciated.
Jerry
