cant view secure pages, xp user

Same problem here using IE6 and Windows 2000 Pro. Cant
view secure pages same Error Message. Tried to turn off
Firewall (AOL's Free Mcaffee) didnt work. AOL suggested I
upgrade my Browser so downloaded ie6setup pack. Install
needs to be online, but on install my computer crashes.
Now I can't FTP B** Nightmare!! Any Suggestions. Would
reinstall OP System help??
