Please verify the following steps:

1) Open Internet Explorer
2) Select Tools > Internet Options
3) Select Security Tab
4) Highlight "Internet" and Click "Custom Level"
5) Under "ActiveX controls and Plugins" Verify the following:

Download signed ActiveX controls = Prompt
Download unsigned ActiveX controls = Disabled
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe = Disabled
Run ActiveX controls and Plugins = Enabled
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting = Enabled

6) Under "Scripting" Verify the following:
Active Scripting = Enabled

7) Next, click on the Advanced tab. Scroll down the list and make sure there
are check marks in the boxes next to:
      a. Use HTTP 1.1
      b. Use SSL 2.0
      c. Use SSL 3.0

8) Close all open browsers, then connect to the Windows Update site and see
if it works.

Start > Run
Type "regsvr32 softpub.dll" (without quotes)
Press ok.
Should receive a succeeded message.

Repeat above steps except replace softpub.dll with the next file name
wintrust.dll
initpki.dll
mssip32.dll
