I found in another post that there is a "Windows Update.log" file in the
Windows directory where I could find some information about the cause of the
failure.

*BUT* all the entries on that file are marked as "success" (the word "fail"
doesn't appear once in that file), even the entries with the same date I
performed the "failed" updates according to the Windows update site's
"Installation History".

Any idea ??
