Windows Critical Update Won't Finish Installation

I tried to install the urgent Windows security update
tonight but it stalled after about 10 minutes, &
everytime I try to install it again I'm told the
installation has failed. Is this caused by many people
attempting to install or something within Windows XP, or
what?
