Can you disconnect and reconnect from the same client? I think that
reconnection also fails when you try to reconnect from a different
client and the rdp settings are different, or the screen resolution
is different.

Ok - a user just disconnect from a session and then a minute.
later reconnected and received the following error:
Error connecting to existing session for USER1 (Id 22)
The operation complete succesfully
When the new session started all appeared to work, except
Firefox. It wont open and gives the error the app is already in
use. Looking at this from TS Manager there is two sessions on
USER1 - session 22 (disconnectredO and session 23 (new active).
We tried multiple times to logoff the active session and back in
(from another client), but the same error occurs and we can get
to the session.

Here's an explanation how users can create multiple sessions,
despite your GPO:
302883 - "Restrict Each User to One Session" Setting in
Tscc.msc Does Not Work

And here's the latest hotfix for the STOP 0xAB error (replaces
all previous hotfixes for this error):
959466 - Stop error on a Windows Server 2003-based terminal
server that has a third-party Input Method Editor (IME)
installed: "Stop 0x000000AB (SESSION_HAS_VALID_POOL_ON_EXIT)"

Looks like we are not the only ones who experience this
issue. In my case, i need to find out why the TS servers are
not reconnecting to existing sessions - the crashes we
suffered, i now understand, were caused when our techs would
manually LogOff the disconnected session - this seems to
trigger the logoff BSOD stop event. We might have a printer
mapping issue that was discussed. But first things first -
why are disconnected session not reconnecting?? Strange -

All processes look normal except yahoomessenger.exe
I'm not sure if you really want this on a TS.
Maybe there is a problem with logoff.
I found this link to a forum with mention the same stop
