Configure a Group Policy. There are the settings:
User Configuration - Windows Settings - Internet Explorer
Maintenance - URLs - Important URLs - Home, Search & Online Support
URLs
If you want to set the home page and search page *only* when users
log on to your Terminal Servers, you also have to use this setting:
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - Group
Policy
"User Group Policy loopback processing mode" - "Replace"
and then link the GPO to the OU which contains the Terminal Server
objects.
If you want to have the same home page and search page for users
also on their workstation *and* you don't have another GPO with
loopback processing linked to the TS OU, then you can link the GPO
to the Users OU.

Hi!.
I have several Windows Server x64 servers configured as terminal
server. When users opens Internet Explorer the address field is
showing http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?/?LinkId=54896 and
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157 and eventually
msn.com / no. The 32 bit version of IE will hang a loooong time
and the IE 64 bit seems to be faster. This is such an annoyance!
The behavior seems to be related to the following registry keys:
HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Key: Search Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?/?LinkId=54896
Kay: Start Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?/?LinkId=69157
What is the correct procedure to remove these default settings
in Internet Explorer for all users so that old and new users of
the W2K8 terminal server via RDP, do not have to go thru a
procedure removing and configuring a home page.
