Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

TS is running on windows 2003 (advanced server) sp2. Yes is is
on a domain controller.

As I wrote, that's *not* recommended. You are using your domain
controller as a multi-user workstation.

I am not sure of the version of RDP the mac is running. Are
there issues with different versions? I can obtain that
information...

Make sure you use Mac RDC2, from
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx?pid=Mactopia_RDC&fid=

You can also try to delete the locally stored license from the
Macintosh. It's located in
/users/Shared/Microsoft/RDC Crucial Server Information/.
To clean the Macintosh client's license cache, delete the contents
of this folder. The client will try to obtain a new license from
the server the next time that it connects.

Is the Mac connected on the same network as the Windows clients? If
not, you could also have a black hole router problem, which prevent
the transfer of a full license. If that's the case, you need to
modify the MTU size.

If the above doesn't solve the problem, post to the Macintosh
Remote Desktop Connection newsgroup:

What type of licenses do you have?
Which version of RDC for Mac are you running?

What worries me most in your post is this:
.. when logging into a domain controller...

I hope that your TS is not running on your DC?
That is *not* recommended, for performance, but most of all for
security reasons!

Hello,

One of the admins got this message when logging into a domain

"Your terminal services temporary client will expire in 6
days. Please contact your system administrator to get a
permanent license"

Please advise.
