There is no easy way of doing this whatsoever with the built-in tools

it's the SID's and the SID's change when you change domains.

I will soon be moving a terminal server (2003 SP2) to a new domain.
Currently, it exists in a SBS domain. The client has out grown the
SBS limitations and is now moving to a full Windows Server 2003 R2 and
Exchange 2007.
The terminal server will be maintained.
I need to remove the TS from SBS domain and join to new domain. The
new domain will have the same name as the SBS domain as we are
building the new system from scratch.
How can I preserve the local user profiles on the terminal server when
I remove from the SBS domain and join the new domain (again, both with
same domain.local name) ?
Thanks for any advice.- Hide quoted text -

Thanks for the reply.
You are correct, the SID is the issue as we "change" domains even
though they are named the same. We will just have to perform some
tests and plan based on results.
Thanks again.
