Hi All,
Any word of wisdom to share? Is there a better
way to do this?
Many thanks,

I was going to put it behind iptables. Opinion?

10. Eventually 20 max

I have put together several Windows servers. Even with the best
hardware, they are still pieces of crap. But the idiots at Intuit
will not port Quick Books to Linux, so crap it is.

I do this at my office. My base system is CentOS 5.2 (Linux)
and I run XP, Vista, ReactOS, Bart PE, and Ubunto off
of Virtual Box. Store all my data off on Linux where I can
back up everything (dump & restore). And, have a professional
grade file system that journals. I make snap shots too.
The only draw back is that the guest OS's can be slow.
Really, REALLY slow when it comes to Vista (speaking
of pieces of crap).
Virtual Box only uses one core. My serer will support up
to eight cores -- which would be wasted on Virtual Box.
How are you doing on the performance hit?

VMware sounds like it will substitute for Terminal Service/Citrix.
Run one Windows 2008 server and the VMware clients can use
the 2008 server like Citrix. I have not been able to confirm this.
When you say "vmware software as the base OS", do you mean
Linux host/Windows guest or is there a version of VMware
that is its own host OS?
Confused,
