RE: Windows 2003 Terminal Service slow accessing files

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Ian

Wonder whereabouts these files are stored that you are referring to ? Are
they locally stored or accross the network? Also are the profiles stored on
the same server that the files are that you refer to?

We've recently started experiencing issues where files accessed via Explorer
are slow to open, a 2Mb file can take upto 2 minute. If we open a file using
the application open open then the file takes no more than 10 sec.

We've also found profiles take an age to load and user logons are slow.
There are no errors in the event log, it makes no difference if the DNS
client service is running or not.

Any ideas?
