Re: Scanning to a network printer/scanner

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Thank you for the reply. If I understand the information, correctly, it
sounds like I can install the third-party software, for the canon
copier/printer/scanner, on the Win2k3 terminal servers, and the users should
be able to scan to the network printer.

Vera,
Thanks for the information. Based on the data in the link you listed, am I
correct to say that Terminal Services on a Window2000 server will not
support natively a remote scanner. But if I use a software solution such as
RemoteScan, I would be able to have a scanner connected to a remote PC and
the user could run an application on the Terminal Server and the app would
be able to address the local scanner? Also, have you any experience with
RemoteScan and if so, what is your opinion of this product.

Thanks,
Thomas

I'd be very interested to know if you found any information on
this. I am in the beginning process of adding a scanner to our
environment. I was wondering if the scanner can be attached to a
remote PC and then accessable while that user is running an
application via Terminal Services.

Thank you,
Thomas

I've not found any information on the Canon website, regarding
compatibility
with with Terminal Server environment. Has anyone had any
experience using NetGear software for a network printer/scanner
in a terminal server environment?
