Re: TS Client(or server) loses ability to cut and paste between lo

I have this happen whether I'm working with TS, or not, i.e. when using
VMware Workstation and taking screen shots from my local host computer
running on XP Pro SP2. Try using the clipboard utility on your client first,
to see if this is where the problem is. If that doesn't work, there's only
one other place to look, on the TS.

This often happens to me when I am taking a lot of screenshots while
writing
articles. I have to launch clipbrd.exe and clear the clipboard.

On which machine(s)? The paste target? The source? Or always on
the TS session? Local session? Both?

I cut and paste among half a dozen or more machines almost without
having to think about it and having the clipboard become unreliable is
just maddening.

It had not been too bad for some YEARS (mostly since Win2000 was
upgraded on my machines) but recently (last few months) has gotten
MUCH worse (again.)

Thanks for any and all advice, ideas, or even sympathy on this one. <grin>

TS Client(or server) loses ability to cut and paste between local and

two remote sessions.

Cut and paste generally works -- but from time to time (and recently
more frequently again) this just stops working between sessions and
local computer.

This happens with BOTH the Remote Desktop MMC and the normal
Remote DeskTop client (all current updates applied to all involved
machines.)

Although this seemed to be a regular problem with Win2000 computers
this problem has been for less common with XP-2003-Vista, although
lately I am seeing it on all of XP, Win2003, and Vista with the server
generally a Win2003 server.

Quick Google searches find no direct fix but some mention of a similar
problem on Citrix and the fix for their problem being to "repair the
clipboard chain" with their (downloadable) RepairCBDChain utility.

The Citrix article indicates THEIR problem is caused by 'some program'
improperly inserting itself into the "clipboard [notification?] chain'
and
thus
the fix program.

Any ideas for a purely Microsoft occurence and fix?
