Hi Doug,
Nothing that works as easy as TS Gateway is included. You could install a VPN or SSL VPN but that will involve more work. There are open source SSL VPNs that are available for free--google for more information.
Windows Server 2008 will be released Feb 27, can you wait?
Otherwise you could install the beta or release candidate version in a virtual machine and use TS Gateway. For this you would point port 443 to the Server 2008 ip address and configure TS Gateway. The clients would need to use version 6 or later of the remote desktop client and have their TS gateway set.
Sorry there is no "quick and easy" built-in solution, unless you want to use multiple ports on your firewall and point them to each internal machine.

Gateway? I only have on public IP adress to work with.
Thanks,
Doug
