Re: RDC6 on Windows XP not working like RDC5 did

Amongst the many comments on the Vista Remote Desktop Connection
Authentication FAQ is this one:

"The issue with saved credentials when connecting to a Windows 2000
server has been noticed and will be addressed."
Tuesday, February 13, 2007 7:47 PM by Zardosht Kasheff [MSFT]

and the proposed change in behaviour in the rdp 6.1 client is
documented here:

TS connection experience improvements based on RDP 6.0 client
customer feedback

experience-improvements-based-on-rdp-6-0-client-customer-
feedback.aspx

I have no information about when the rdp 6.1 client will be
released.

I know this is a topic that has had a lot of discussion, but I
am really just trying to get a couple of answers here. I've read
through and done the things in this article:
http://blogs.msdn.com/ts/archive/2007/01/22/vista-remote-desktop-
connection-authentication-faq.aspx

I still have the following problems:
Windows XP user trying to connect to a Windows Terminal Server
2000 using RDC6. Saved shortcut for RDC had a stored username,
domain, and password which worked perfectly up until we upgraded
to RDC6 through Windows Update. I was told we can click on the
"Add Credentials" button to save users' credentials to the
machine so they don't have to login, but this isn't even an
option, it just doesn't appear. Also, when I type in the
DOMAIN\username and password and click the Save button, it does
not save.

Any suggestions?
