Thanks again for your help Vera
I took a look at the registry, however there were no entries in there for
the X509 certificate or the X509 Certificate ID. The values that were
present were:
Certificate
fInternetConnector
UserLicenseServer
I thought that before I tried deleting the Certificate value I would post
here again and make sure it would still be the correct course of action.
Could this entry still be contributing to the problem even if the X509
certificate and certificate id values are not present?
thanks

OK, you'll have to delete some certificates from the server..

It used to work, but n for some reason we are unable to
connect to our WIndows2000 domain controller via Remote
Desktop or Terminal Services manager. Happens wether we are
inside or outside of our network. DNS is fine, and I even
tried typing in the server IP address instead of the server
name. Remote Desktop and TS Manager in our overall
environment is working fine and
I can connect to all other servers in our network. Except
for this one
particular server.
When trying to connect, I get an error message saying that:
1) Remote Connections may not be enabled on the server-they
are, I checked
2) Maximum connections have been established- I even
restarted the DC to clear connections.
3) A network error may have occured-Server is up and running
and connected to the network. Again, I restarted it over the
weekend.
Iv'e tried everything but reinstalling TS. I can ping the
server, but when trying to telnet on 3389 all I get is a
hanging cursor. I even checked the registry value
TSEnabled=1 and it was in fact set correctly.
Any help or new ideas would be appreciated. I have been
stumped on this one for weeks now.
thanks
