thanks for the reply, does this apply to win2k too? I should have said
that it's a 2k box, not a 2003 one.

Hello Fred,

Check the IE policies in computer configuration, theire is in 2003
the
option "Empty temporary internet files when browser is closed".
Or you can run
regedit /s %LOGONSERVER%\NETLOGON\Persistent.reg

in a logon script, where %LOGONSERVER%\NETLOGON\Persistent.reg
contains:

REGEDIT

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
entVersion\Internet
Settings\Cache]
"Persistent"=dword:00000000
Best regards

I have about 50 thin client users, who currently have access to the
net. I'm trying to run a backup of the T/S Server, and due to the
fact that most of the users profiles are not set to clear cached
files on shutdown or over a set time etc, the backup is taking
forever to back up the profiles.

Whats the best way to put something in place to cure the problem,
without having to amend each profile? Is it possible to set
something at server level to clear out the cache?

Many thanks

.
